MULFORD, Henry Dunning, born Abt. 1838, Smithtown, Long Island, Suffolk County, New York, U.S.A. married CONKLING, Caroline Elizabeth, born Abt. 1858, Smithtown, Long Island, Suffolk County, New York, U.S.A..They were married 29 April 1883.
Henry descends through TWO Mulford lines since, as many others, his line remained in the East Hampton area for some time.
His father was MULFORD, Albert Gardiner, 25 October 1812 and his father was
MULFORD, Elias, 03 April 1777-10 December 1864 and his father was
MULFORD, Elias, 1747-30 April 1825 (by the way his wife was GARDINER, Elizabeth and you can still see our common ancestor's grave LION GARDNER, who was born in the 1500's yet died in America which is very unique. The grave is across from the Mulford Museum on East Hampton). His father was
MULFORD, Samuel, 25 April 1714-15 June 1795
whose father was
MULFORD, Elias, 1686-02 November 1760 whose father was the notorious
MULFORD, Samuel, 1645-21 August 1725 whose father was
MULFORD, John, 1606-1686, who was the original immigrant to America. From there the line goes:
MULFORD, Thomas, 03 December 1571, Cadbury, Mid Devon, Devonshire, England
Married, Abt. 1600, Cadbury, Mid Devon, Devonshire, England
SOUTHCOTT, Sarah, Abt. 1570, Boythracye, Devon, England
MOLFORD, Roger, Bef. 1536, Cadbury, Mid Devon, Devonshire, England
Married, Abt. 1560, Cadbury, Mid Devon, Devonshire, England
COPENER, Amye, Abt. 1536, Dabury, Devon, England
MOLFORD, Wilton Jr., Abt. 1490, Cadbury, Mid Devon, Devonshire, England
Married, Abt. 1510, Cadbury, Mid Devon, Devonshire, England
WHITE, Alice, Abt. 1490, South Molton, North Devon, Devonshire, England
MOLFORD, Wilton, Abt. 1460, Cadbury, Mid Devon, Devonshire, England
Married, Abt. 1480, Cadbury, Mid Devon, Devonshire, England
SHOTE, Sabyn, Abt. 1460, Newland, Devon, England
MOLFORD, Thomas, Abt. 1420, Cadbury, Mid Devon, Devonshire, England
Married, Abt. 1440, South Molton, North Devon, Devonshire, England
BLACKMORE, Agnes, Abt. 1420, Byshope, Nymnet, England
MULFORD, Roger, Abt. 1390, Cadbury, Mid Devon, Devonshire, England
Married, Abt. 1410, Cadbury, Mid Devon, Devonshire, England
HACK, Elizabeth, Abt. 1390, Cadbury, Mid Devon, Devonshire, England
Then the traditional, but unproven line goes:
MULFORD, Henry, Abt. 1360, Wiltshire, England
MULFORD, Edward, About 1330, Wiltshire, England
MULFORD, Edmund, About 1305, Dover, Kent, England
MULEFORD, John de, About 1280, Dover, Kent, England
MUNFORD, Simon de, About 1250, Dover, Kent, England
MULEFORD, Richard de, About 1220, Dover, Kent, England
MUNFORD, Ralph de, About 1190, Dover, Kent, England
MUNFORD, Ralph Sr. de, About 1160, Dover, Kent, England
MONTFORD, Ralph de, About 1130, Dover, Kent, England
MONTFORD, Hugo de, About 1100, Dover, Kent, England
MONTFORT, Hugo de, About 1072, Montfort, Normandy, France
MONTFORT, Simon de 1st Earl Leicester, About 1026, Montfort, Normandy, France
MONTFORT, Amauri, About Abt. 996, Montfort, Normandy, France
Then on to every royal line in France, Belgium, Germany, etc…..
Elizabeth Gardiner's father towards your second Mulford line was
GARDINER, John, Honorable, 1714-19 May 1764 whose wife was MULFORD, Elizabeth (twin), 22 August 1714-21 October 1754 whose father was
MULFORD, Matthew, 1690-28 April 1774 (whose wife, Elizabeth Chatfield would qualify you for the Daughters of the American Revolution.)His father was
MULFORD, Samuel, 1645 that was mentioned above.
PLEASE SEND ALL your MULFORD descendants to the present so that I can add them to my genealogy.Thank you.
