Re: marriage date for Timothy Mulford (1681)

The first of their many children, daughter Amy, was baptized at Easthampton on 20 Mar 1708 [Rev. Nathaniel Huntting's record]. That suggests that Timothy & Sarah were married, probably not at Easthampton (since Rev. Huntting's wonderful records do not show the marriage), sometime in 1707. It may be worth checking such records as may exist of marriages in nearby towns: Southampton, Southold, etc.

I have not made a close study of either the Dayton family (which I believe first appeared in Southampton) nor of the John 1, Samuel 2, Timothy 3 Mulford branch of the family, since my descent is from William 1. But I do have a complete photocopy of the Huntting records as they were serially published in NYGBR from 1893 through 1903.
