I noticed you note on Mulford's of Somerset, New Jersey. I am trying to find out all I can about a Samuel Mulford. He lived in New Orleans. I am trying to prove that an Elizabeth Mulford is his daughter. In a letter he wrote to the Bishop of New Orleans, he described himself as "Mulford, a native of Somerset in New York, a Presbyterian, son of Charles Mulford and Nancy Ross and resident of this city(New Orleans) for 11 years. In other Archdiocese records, Samuel is decribed as being from New Jersey. Does any of this information sound familiar to you? He had another daughter named Tersille. That is how I am tying him to Elizabeth. On of Elizabeth's sons had a daughter named Tersile. That is an unusual name. There were only one or two Mulford's in LA in the early 1800's. I hope this helps you. Can you clear up any of my problems with Charles's children.
