Thank you, thank you.Seems like we are on a promising trail, here.I will check with another cousin re the name discrepancy, Emma-Emeline.Do you have a birth/death date for Emeline?"Emma" would have died during the 1920s.She had her first child in 1881, implying her birth during the 1850s.

I will most certainly write you via ordinary mail.I am also intrigued by the Morgan connection:the Mulfords are on my Mother's side, but my Father's side traces to the Bryants and Boones of Kentucky who intermarried frequently with Morgans.

I assume you know that William Mulford settled in East Hampton, New York.Mary Gardiner was the daughter of Lion Gardiner.Both Bill and Lion are buried in East Hampton.I lived in Southampton and taught at Southampton College for many years. (Now retired to a cattle ranch in the panhandle of western Nebraska.) Finally "getting the Mulford connection" straight would be terrific.Thanks again.
