Ephriam Mulford and DNA testing

Family Tree DNA is running a special until the end of December.I checked the Mulford Project and there were only two members.
Recent information on my ancestor, Edith Mulford, casts doubt on whether or not she was actually a Mulford. Her father was Ephriam Mulford.We hope to get a male cousin to get his DNA tested.We also need a male from Ephriam Mulford's first wife to test.
But overall it looks like the family group needs many more participants in order to be able to draw conclusions on family lines.
