Thank you.Now I know why George Mulford was in Red Oak.He was visiting relatives.In social security death records I found George Mulford, b.10July 1893 KS, d.Oct. 12,1969, age 77, Santa Rosa,CA, Sonoma County.Soc. Sec. issued in KS#513-05-5238.

Familysearch.org shows Ruth M. Altaffer b.25 May 1898 Pilot Grove Township, Montgomery County, IA.Married 13 Mar 1916, Red Oak, IA to George E. Mulford.Apparently Ruth was 17, not 23 when she married.

What became of Ruth?

The Bloom name rings a bell,but I know nothing about them.My married surname is Stuhr.
