I have not done well with this surname. I don't have anything knew to share about Mary,.. no other proven relationships. It's too early to be able to make a connection.

I did find her obit last week, it was in the Bedford Inquirer - date of her death not confirmed however the issue was sold January 7, 1916. "The death angel has again visited our quiet village and has taken with him the immortal spirit of "Grandmother" Fox, widow of George Fox Sr., who preceded his beloved companion less than ten months ago.Both were among the most aged of our citizens and were loved and respected by all who knew them."-That's It. Lovely obit but not informative.

I found her husbands along with others - for the last four weeks I've been engrossed in old newspapers. Not once have I run across another Mullarkey/Mularky -

The following is of the same volumes where I found the baptisms for a couple of her children.

In Vol. 2 (looked in all 5 vol.) there was an Annam Malarky who married April 20 1849 to Petrum McNally. Witnesses to their marriage were Michael & Maria McNally. The marriage took place at St.Patrick's in Newry, Penna.This was the only listing of any Malarky (or various spellings) - I had to wonder if Ann is Mary's mother, marrying a 2nd time OR, Mary's sister.

I have not yet had the time to look through the census index for PA 1850, 1860 and 1870 - though I did scan at one point while at the State library and found a John Malarkey in Carbon Co., PA, a John Malarky in Schuylkill co., a Patrick Malarky in Luzerne Co., William Malarky in Northampton Co. and Andrew Malerkey in Butler Co. < Still have to do the look ups on these. When I do, will let you know what I found.

If I am not mistaken, there was a census record that stated she did not arrive in America until 1854 (as of 1900 claiming she had been in the U.S. for 46 years and born Feb. 1840.)I doubt I will find an immigration record for her since she was 14 years old (expect that minors were not required by law to later claim their citizenship if the parents tended to the matter.)
