War of 1812 Death

I am searching for a MURDOCK who died serving in the War of 1812 from the Greenbrier/Monroe Co WVA area.He left a widow, son Charles and dght Elizabeth Ann b 12 Aug 1812 in Monroe CO WVA.

I have done every type search I can think of trying to learn the names of any Murdock man that fits the above description.
I desparately need help.
