William Lafayette Murff

I am research my Murff family. William Lafayette Murff was my gg grandfather, his daughter, Alta Amelia (Murff) Oglethorpe was my great grandmother.

I have very little information about William's family (his parents and sibblings) and where they are from. I found online that William (Will) was born in Greensboro, Perry Co., AL. and that his wife, Nancy Dunn was born there also.

I do have the Murff family in the 1850 census, Al., Perry Co., Polecat Twp, taken Oct 15,1850.I have William L. in later census records as well.

His father is listed as Wm. Murff, mother, Eliza and there are 4 siblings, George W., Mary E., Eliza E. and Seary?

Is anyone working on this family, I need help.
