Thanks for that information, adds another layer to the research.
My only question is when John Myers lived? My GGGG-grandfather, Jacob (who gave the land for the church) was born around 1744 and is buried in PA.
Also, if anyone has any information on Myers families in the Kellersburg, Kettaning, and Rimersburg, PA areas this is where my family has traced to so far.It seems the males of the family were coal miners mainly, some were also farmers.
I know there is some family still living in the area, but I don't live nearby to visit. Tobias Myers was pretty well known in the area for his status as Civil War vet and later as a community organizer through a chapter of the G.A.R.He and his wife died within 16hrs of each other in 1939 and newspapers from the time said that around 1200 people attended his funeral.Just wish I had more information on the family, as the trail ends with Tobias' grandfather, Jacob.Tobias' father's name was Adam.
