SUSANNA MIERS – To my son BUTLER MIERS, my youngest and now dearest to me.
Dated May 12, 1817 – Recorded December 27, 1817
Having some worldly property and a number of children and wishing to leave what I have to those I believe deserving of my favors – I give and bequeath to my son BUTLER MIERS, my youngest and now dearest to me, the house and Lotts where I now live, with one thousand dollars out of the last of the money due me by John Irwin – and the feather bed and beding whereon I at present lay… Said BUTLER is not to get possession of the money during his minority but is only to receive from the house etc. to be applied to his education and decent support.
