No not exactly. There is exaclty two MAJOR Myers families in the United States. One connected to the Myers family of Fort Myers in Lee County Florida and the other Myers family connected to General John C Fremont and his activities in California.

Both families are well recorded and came out of Southern South Carlolina. One Catholic and the other Jewish "New Christians".

There must be at least 500 Myers names listed in the book Americans of Jewish Descent with Jewish Silversmith Myer Myers as the head. The other Catholic Myers family of CSA Col John Jacob Myers has about 300 people listed in their book.Although they have a wild card with that Myers family. One of the brothers from Albany NY is missing from the record. In any event, this Myers family wants to say they were close friends of General Lafayette and invited him to a social at the Saxie Gotha Farm on his return to the US in the early part of the 1800's.

You will be glad to know the rest might just be unknown Myers families doing their unknown thing.
