Again the two well recorded Myers fmailies in the United States are the Myers' of Fort Myers in Lee County Florida.They were Spainish New Christian Jews.Then the Myers family of CSA Col John Jacob Myers who was General John C Fremont's aide before the Civil War.They were German Catholic.

So you have two well records Myers trees with 2 wild cards.One, a Myers family in Albany NY who belong to the Catholic John Jacob Myers family and the other, Hunter John Myers who seems to be Spanish New Christian Catholic Jews like the Myers family in Fort Myers.

These are well known West Pointer families and if you know what books to look for, research is rather EZ.

So one of the relatives of these Myers families, who were also known to be Methodist here and there, was the Name Wood of Gov James Wood of Virginia.

Sure, Myers is the most common name in the US.Then again it would be if you had 17 children with the last name of Myers free in the US in the early 1800's.

Actually there is a third Lutheran Myers group related to Col Morgan Morgan of Inwood WV.But they are not as well documented.

No matter how much research I do on the Myers families, I keep coming back to the gravesite of writer John Esten Cooke and a lady named Lorraine F Myers who documented that graveyard he is in and documented the family of Pocahontas.

What's interest about documents.Fort Myers was named after CSA Col A.C. Myers, who before the Civil Was, was a close friend of Catholic General William T Sherman.General Sherman spent most of his time during the Civil War burning such family documents.The idea was to make the Slave Holders equal to the landless and familyless slaves they owned.So people like you will say to the major families of the South, Genealogy without PROOF is just rumor.
