They all could be from the Kentucky Surveyor family of Jacob Myers born in Frederick MD in 1739.Jacob was a surveyor for George Washington and had a licence from William and Mary College.Then Gov James Wood Library states all surveyors who worked for Thomas Lord Fairfax had to have a licence from William and Mary College.James Wood also had a licence.

The Myers Wood and Dupont families lived together in Morgan County VA now WV just west of Martinsburg. They were known to be Catholic.

These are from the records of Hunter John Myers and his writer John Esten Cooke who the brother in law of CSA Jeb Stuart and son of Union General Philip St Georges Cooke.Sacajawea's son, John Baptiste, was General Cooke's Indian Guide.

John Cooke's wife owned the Catholic Girls School in Martinsburg of which Hunter John Myers' daughter Sally attended.All these people would know Catholic Cardinal John McCloskey who was the first Cardinal in the United States and his brother Catholic Bishop William McCloskey of Louisville KY who was a close friend of CSA General John Cabell Breckinridge.
