I descend from Ruth Myers Fultz, born 1794 per the census records and 1791 per her tombstone.She was apparently the oldet child of Casper Myers and Abigail (?).Casper, Sr. was born ca 1770, probably in VA, and died 1817 in Warren Co. (now Grundy) TN.Abigail was born ca 1773 in VA and died about 1870 in Grundy Co. TN.They are first found as a couple (that I'm aware) in Sullivan Co. TN where they lived prior to TN Statehood in 1796. Besides Ruth, these are children that I know of, from an estate settlement in Warren Co.: Thomas, Jacob, Casper, Jr., Christopher, Esther, and John.

I know that Casper, Jr. is buried in a cemetery in either Warren or Grundy, and had a son by the same name, also buried in that cemetery. I can't remember the name of it, but it's in the Warren Co. Cemetery Book, if that helps.There are alot of others working from time to time on the "big" puzzle........finding the parents of Casper and the maiden name of Abigail.Several people believe he's the son or brother of Jacob Myers, also in Sullivan Co. at the same time, but he can't be the Jacob written about in the Kingsport Heritage by Muriel Spoden, as there's too much age difference for either.
