The John Myers I am talking about is John Myers the Hunter in John Esten Cookes book titled Leather and Silk the life of Hunter John Myers.John Esten Cooke is a nephew of General Daniel Morgan.John Esten Cooke is buried with the Morgan family next to Gov Edmund Jennings Randolph who was a cousin of Thomas Jefferson.

We had talked about this before.Sometimes the s is left off so the name could be spelled Myers, Myer or Mayer.

General Daniel Morgan's son-in-law was Presley Neville of Pittsburgh and he was General Lafayette's aid. General Daniel Morgans main man at the Battle of Saratoga was Hunter Tim Murphy who killed English General Frazer at a great distance while sitting in a tree.

Both of these Hunters worked for Cornelius Heeney who was John Jacob Astors business partner. The third hunter was Hunter Robert Stuart.You can read about him in the book Astoria by Washington Irving.
