Probably your Julia although all of our info. doesn't match.
It's been a while, but I think I determined that yes there was a John Vermillion and Henrietta Nally who lived in DC at the shipyard had a Dennis and John...but not my Nicholas. His father is still a mystery as far as I'm concerned.Otho Vermillion was also hanging around the shipyard at the same time...he's interesting, but I don't think I've determined his parents either. It's possible that your William and my Nicholas were 1/2 siblings....but there's no definite evidence.Nicholas did have a brother, George and their father was indeed a man named John Vermillion. It's believed that William's mother was a Mary Burgess. Our group were pretty much the only ones who stayed in the DC area (every other Vermillion went west)....and yet we're the only ones who can't establish a solid line back to Giles Vermillion...which the researchers agree that's the case - but we have no documentation :( Someday we'll know :) If you find anything, please keep me posted!!
