John Nauman (1829-1894) in Pennsylvania 1850
Has anyone found John Nauman (1829-1894) in the 1850 census? His parents were Michael Nauman (1794-1847) and Catherine Wolf (1810-1880.) He was born in Paradise, Monroe county, and is in the 1860 census in Madison, Luzerne county (with his wife & family.) I've found some of his siblings (Frederick, b. 1841, & Reuben, b. 1843) in Paradise, Monroe county, living with relatives. Since his father died in 1847, it looks like the younger children were sent to live (or maybe apprentice) with relatives.
I haven't been able to find his mother in 1850, either. I don't know if she remarried (although, if she did, it's likely she would have taken her younger children with her.)
John would have been about 21, so I'm guessing he went out on his own. To make matters worse, "Nauman" is frequently misspelled - "Namin,""Nowman," & "Noreman" are some of the variations that I've seen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
