Italian Origen of the Negron Family

By Juan Roman May 12, 2002 at 06:35:42

The surname NEGRON came originally from Italy, and may be related to the NEGRONI families. The earliest mentioned in Spain c.1500, was Nicolás Negron da Ello, Italy, married to Doña Lucia GERNUSDI. Another was Nicolas married to doña Lucia della Croce.
The surname means the dark or swarthy one, and may be because of the dark hair of some of its members.
