Looking for info Barbara Nehrt

My husbands grandmother was Barbara Nehr, she was born in Yugoslavia, and came to New York with her Husband, Andreas Batliner . They eventually settled in Chicago, Il, in the 1950's. Barbara was born January 28, 1920, she has a brother named Hans and an unkown sister who died in the war. Her obit also says her parents didn't make it through the war either. I would love to know more about her and who her parents were if anyone has any info, or could give me a place to start I would really appreciate it.
