Jake Nelson born 1879 in WV

I am just starting on my family tree so I am certainly a newbie. Any help that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for information on Jake Nelson born 1879, died 1918. He was married to Virgie Sword born 1887 and died 1961. They had 7 children: Dell Ruby Nelson born 1905, Lloyd Nelson born 1907, Emerson Ezra Nelson born 1909, AG (Mancy) Nelson born 1912, Margaret Lucille Nelson born 1915 died 1989, Norma Sue Nelson born 1918,and Norvell (Tykes)Nelson 1918 (Norma and Norvell were twins).
