Nemmers/Koob Marriage - IA
The marriage of Arnold Nemmers, son of Mrs. Peter Nemmers, and Miss Marina Koob of Granville, IA, was solemnized at St. Joseph's Church at that place on Monday, January 5, 1931, Rev. Fr. Gerlman performing the ceremony at 8 o'clock.
The bride wore a dress of orchid satin trimmed with tulle lace with silver metallic hat and slippers to match.She was attended by her cousin, Miss Neta Drees, who wore a peach colored dress of satin with gold metallic hat.
Following the ceremony a wedding reception and dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Barney Koob.After the dinner, the young people left on a homeymoon trip to Dyersville and other points in Iowa.They are expected to arrive in Fulda next week.
Arnold is a former Fulda boy and is well liked and popular here in his old home.His bride is an only daughter, and is well liked by her friends for her pleasant personality and cordial manner.Mr. and Mrs. Nemmers will make their home on a farm near Granville, Iowa, taking up their residence there in March.
Mrs. Nemmers and children, Loretta, Rosella, Viola, & Raymond, and Mrs. and Mrs. Leonard Nemmers and Mr. and Mrs. Florian Nemmers were in attendance at the wedding.
