Reading some of your postings I felt impressed to post a message to you NEWSHAM's.My Father was a Thomas Patrick Newsham born in Fleetwood Lancashire he was one of eight living children.His Father was Thomas William Newsham married to Hannah Parker.I have no knowledge of my Grandfather THOMAS WILLIAM :excep when he was thirteen he ran away to sea on a sailing ship.There is one surviving child Bernadette she is 74 years old but is not a very good historian, Her Mother my grandmother died in 1928. Her Mothers family were in FISH, so my Father and his brothers all went to sea as Mates and Skippers on trawlers from Fleetwood and Hull.I too am needed to research my ancestory for there are so many questions needing answers.Thanks
