Re: Newsham of Preston, Lancashire

I have been researching my husbands Newsham's.His gggg grandfather was John Neusham born in Yorkshire, had sons Frank, John, Thomas, Richard all born in Lancashire, had daughters Sarah, Mary Ann (my husbands ggg grandmother) Martha and Margaret. They came from England to Peoria Illinois,John was a Cotton Spinner by trade born abt 1820.His son John Jr. owned a General store in Peoria. Richard and Frank owned Coal mines. I found all of this in the Encyclopedia of Illinois and History of Peoria County Published 1902 and I found it in the LDS library.
