I am also looking for this family.I have info that Thomas Hinkle was the son of Christian Hinkle and Marguerite Nice.I found Christian Hinkle on the 1790 Germantown, Philadelphia Co PA census.I found Thomas Hinkle on the 1820-1830 Lancaster, Lancaster Co PA census records; and on the 1840-1880 Oregon Twp, Ogle Co IL census.On the 1880 Ogle Co IL census, Thomas Hinkle lists his parents as both being b in Germany.

Were Christian Hinkle and Marguerite Nice Mennonites?
