At the request of THOMAS NICHOLLS the following Lease was recorded
June the sixteenth day 1739.
This Indenture made the 23 day of May 1739 Between THOMAS BUTLER
of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland of one part and
THOMAS NICHOLLS of the said County and Province Planter of the other
part Witnessed the said THOMAS BUTLER for and in consideration of the
rents and covenants herein after reserved hath demised grant set to farm let
and doth by these presents grant set to farm let onto the said THOMAS
NICHOLLS of part of a track of land called Joseph's (Parks?) lying in Prince
Georges County which is included in the following meets and bounds
Beginning at the South East corner of a parcel of land laid out for Mr.
HENRY WATTSON being the North East corner of the land of JOHN RAMSEY
and running with said WATTSONS land West one................................
to have and hold parcel of land premises for said THOMAS NICHOLLS his
heirs and assigns for Natural Life of THOMAS NICHOLLS and during Natural
Life of ANN NICHOLLS wife of aforesaid THOMAS NICHOLLS.......and
Natural Life of THOMAS NICHOLLS SON of aforesaid THOMAS NICHOLLS....
In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have put their hands and
seals the day and year written.

At the request of John Nicholls, Jr. the following mark of cattle and hogs
was recorded June the sixteenth day seventeen hundred thirty nine Viz +
a swallow fork in the right ear and under bitt in the left ear.
