This is the first Noe I've seen in NY, other than the original French guy in the 1700s.I've been looking for my ggrandfather, Charles Noe, ca. 1860-1891, who lived and died in Flushing, NY.He is buried in St. Mary's cemetery, Flushing.I don't know if he had any siblings. He m. Johanna Scanlon ca. 1880.I don't know if Charles was born in the U.S.My Aunt told me we had a Polish person in the family (mixed in with the Irish, and I guess this is who she meant, since Noe is not Irish. But not sure if she was accurate re: the country.)My research has not really started, but I'd like to know where Lewis came from and if he had any siblings.
