Re: Joseph Nolen b.1764-1993
Hello, It is good to hear of some fresh eyes working on this line. And by me making that point, you are right in thinking I have nothing of significance to add. I was late getting to this point among two other researchers in this line and I have not heard of any new developments. Because of the way census reports were written beyond 1840, it harder to find the children in their parents households. I think the search would be best achieved if he has a baptismal or christneing record in a church of Tennessee. Or a mention of him in his father's will would help. I have made a trip to Clayton library once and searched two microfilm roles for such information and found no clues. However there are large amounts of information availabe there and I did not devote all of my time to this line. I can not wait to get my youngest in school and continue a more in depth search. I think I have exhausted most of my oniline research tools. Many are still adding new information and perhaps this line has grown cold for long enough. I should try to find something tonight. I will respond as soon as I find something new. I wish you the best of luck and would hope you would respond as well. Thank You for responding.
