Thanks for the helpful advice.I'll look into that and try to digitize it this time for better safekeeping.
I only have a few pages of her work, but I see what you mean regarding her ability to interconnect and see relationships with witnesses, neighbors and marriages several counties and generations back.
I am currently in the process of scanning my notes and documenting my own Norvell line on ancestry.com and appreciate any feedback you (or others) may have on my conclusions and analysis.My line is from Rutherford County, North Carolina.Grace believed that my ancestor Sam Norvell (born ca 1745) was most likely a son of George Norvell (born circa 1639) of Hanover.The more I consider her arguments and think through the naming patterns and allied families, the more I am persuaded too.
I recently ordered my first DNA kit to see where the results may lead.I hope someone else from George's line has submitted a sample for comparison.
