My name is Stuart Noss and I hail from Southampton in the UK. I work as a History Lecturer in Bristol, UK and it is this passion for the past that has stimulated my current research. I'm very interested to speak to anyone who has more info on the Doc Noss (MIlton Noss) legend. Lost Gold and all that. Also I'd love to hear from any Noss i the world. The more I look into the family the greater the surprises. I take it Reed NOss is a famous Biologist and Bertram NOss (my great-grand uncle) sank with the Titantic. So please feel free to email me and just say hi. I look forward to hearing from you all.
p.s We had a family tree done by a couple of spinster great aunts years ago and they thought the name Noss was Scottish in origin and stemmed from the word Ness. If thats Loch Ness I don't know. But the Scottish connection would make a bit more sense with the numbers of British and Scandanavian Noss' there are.
