Miguel Nunez-Morillo, soldier at the presidio de Bexar, was born in Saltillo.He married 3 November 1726 at Bexar,Maria Josefa Flores y Valdes, daughter of Captain Nicolas Flores and Nicolasa Ximenes, natives of Saltillo.
Miguel was dead by 1740, when as a widow, Josefa received a grant on 18 February 1740, land bounded on the south by lands of her mother; on the east by lands promised to Alberto Lopez; and on the north by the Calle Angosta; with the San Pedro to the west.
After the death of Miguel Nunez-Morillo, Josefa was married twice more, but had no children of either her second or third marriage.
Miguel Nunez-Morillo and Maria Josefa Flores had three children:
1Joseph Miguel Nunez, born 1728;died young.
2Ignacia Augustina Nunez, born 27 August 1731; baptized 31 August 1731.Her baptism was the first record in the chapel baptisms.Her godparents were Alberto Lopez and Juana Ximenes.Ignacia married in 1744, Luis Antonio Menchaca.Luis was appointed Commander at Bexar in 1763.He also served as justicia mayor of the Villa of San Fernando.

Dona Ygnacia Nunes-Morillo, native of this villa, age 66 years old:One son age 21; also 3 daughters ages 18, 15 and 7.One female slave age 40. 1)Joseph Nicolas de la Santisima Trinidad Menchaca born 1746, was appointed alferez in 1771.
2)Luis Mariano Menchaca,was born in Bexar in 1748; married Maria Concepcion de Estrada.He was a shop keeper, and later one of the early ranchers in the area.

3Joseph Manuel Francisco Nunezwas born at Bexar on 29 March 1736; baptized 2 April 1736, son of soldier Miguel NunezMorillo and Maria Josefa Flores, natives of Saltillo.Married in Monclova 15 June1754, Francisca Xaviera Menchaca.Manuel died before the death of his mother in 1787. Manuel Nunez and Frncisca Xaviera Menchaca were parents of three children:
1)Roberto Nunez, born ca 1759.He was a soldier.In the census of 1795: Roberto Nunes age 36; wife Refugia Casanova age 18; natives of this villa.
2)Manuel Nunez, Colonel of Cavalry.In the census of 1803:Don Manuel Nunes-Morillo, employe of Don Felix Menchaca; wife Brigida Trevino, age 30.
3)Maria Josefa Nunez, born 6 March 1767 in Monclova; buried 21 July 1828 at San Fernando de Bexar [SFC #1366]She married Francisco Joseph de Arocha, eldest son of Lt. General Simon de Arocha and Maria Ygnacia de Urrutia.
