Nunnleys & Fords of Greenbrier Co., WVa
I have been researching the Fords of Greenbrier County. I wondered what had happened to Renick C. Ford - so you have found him in Ohio - What is the time period?
I have his mother, Mary, in 1860 living with her daughter, Mary Livesay (Thomas Livesay - spouse) in Greenbrier County and in 1870 still living in Greenbrier County again with daughter, Mary Livesay whose husband - Thomas had died in the 1860's. Mary, the mother, is listed as head of the household.
Then in 1880, Mary Livesay is living with her brother, John, in Greenbrier County. Is this the timeperiod that you have Mary living in Ohio with Renick?
Also, I show William & Cynthia Ford living in Greenbrier Co. in 1850 and in Fayette Co in 1870 and 1880. Again, what is the time period that you are showing William in Ohio?
I don't belieive that William and Renick share the same mother - would you agree - I think that their father must have been married more than once. Would you agree?
Do you have any idea what inspired them to move to Ohio? Yes, Renick, WV is quite a ways from Jackson, Ohio. Isn't it amazing how much people moved around back then?
I was in Greenbrier County just last week doing some research at the cemeteries. I currently live in AZ but was at home last week to do some research.
