Betty..will try and explain my relationship to Jacob Nye.
Jacob married Susan Nye...They had a girl named Polly Knisley..She married John Roades..Their son Daniel Rhoades married Sophia Miller. They had a daughter named Susanna Rhoades who married John Woods.John's daughter Hannah Hattie Woods married mymaternal great grandfather, Fred Meyer. I found a lengthy list of Jacob Knisley;s descendants quite by accident while surfing the net in 1999.
Now I have found two generations back with Jacob's father and grand father on the web site Family Search. I found this after your note last evening.
Do you have an e-mail that I could send you how I found these and how you hopefully can pull it up It is quite interesting with alot of Knisley history as well as one of the wills from 1733. It's too lengthy to put on here but have found Jacob's grandfather, Anthony Kneisley born about 1660 in Germany. Would love to visit with you about this. E-mail me at [email protected] Thanks LaVona
