[the sources Jerry used for this entry were:(1) Doris Roney Bowers, "Roney Family History and Genealogy 1690-1972", (2) Mabel Oothout Allen of Storington IL. (3) Glady Faye Oathout Malone ofMattoon IL.]
You mention a C. W. Oathout....there is a Charles Willard Oathout listed as another son of Richard Franklin O., so this man would be your gf's brother.
The Isaac you mention could be the Isaac who is the father of Richard Franklin Oathout.Isaac was born in 1797, and married twice. His second wife was Eliza Spencer, and one of their children was Richard Franklin Oathout.
Solomon Hart O. is the son of John Hart Oothoudt.John Hart O. and Isaac O. are brothers.
Regarding Claude L. (Leslie) Oathout....he is the son of Charles Fletcher O, and Charles F. is the son of Isaac Oathout and Charity Weaver.I believe the two Isaacs mentioned in my message are two different men, and at present I can't find where this second Isaac (who marr. Charity Weaver) fits into the rest of the Oathout clan.
Something vague in my memory says I may have responded to you off the list about this, in the past. But my memory fails. So, here it is again, or for the first time.
