Gravenor Bailey & Gravenor Bailey Oatley, PA & MI

By Matthew Lipsey May 29, 2002 at 08:42:09

Hello,

I am also in search of a connection between Gravenor BAILEY (d. Crawford County, PA in 1812) and my family, if one exists. It would seem there is a connection...

My direct ancestor is Hannah (BAILEY) OATLEY.See the following:

Hannah BAILEY + Edward OATLEY
Esther OATLEY + N.K. GUNN (Jr.)
Seth A. GUNN + Mary JACKSON
Seth C. GUNN + Melissa PULLMAN
Lloyd L. GUNN + Mercy McCORMICK
Henry GUNN + my grandmother

I have read that Hannah Bailey OATLEY was related to the Gravenor Bailey who came across the Atlantic with William Penn.Hannah and Edward had a son named Simeon OATLEY.Simeon OATLEY m. Sally MOON in 1875.

They had a son named Gravenor Bailey OATLEY.So, they evidently believed there to be a family connection, too, perhaps.

Please see my web site if you would like further info, and more specific dates.http://www.msu.edu/user/lipseyhttp://www.msu.edu/user/lipsey
Thanks so very much.

Best regards,
Matthew Lipsey
