Thanks for your prompt reply.I still have some of the census years to go through.However, my problem is not knowing where he was before going to south Alabama and I have not been able to find him there, if he ever was there.All I really know is that some of his children ended up there.If I even had the names of all his children it would help, but I don't.So I'll keep searching.Thanks anyway.
