Jerry - I believe my gr.gr.grandfather Joseph Oeschger/Esker is related to your Hermonika; His parents went directly to Cleveland Ohio from Swiss/Germany via the Hamburg line (passage at that time went directly to Cleveland) where they settle and he was born; they are all burried in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Cleveland. My grandmother Marion Louise Esker Burson (his grand daughter) passed away last night and am feeling nastolgic... however all my records are currently in storage pending a move. Will retrieve and get back to you shortly. In the meantime, Familysearch.org 1880 census: Jacob & Annie cuyahoga county cleveland ohio with son Louis and daugther Annie. Other info placed on Familysearch.org Louis Bernard Esker (son)b 18 Jun 1870 Cuyahoga county cleveland. Family folk lore has it that when they left germany, one child (a daughter) refused to go choosing to stay behind with relitives. They sent for her after meeting and arranging a marriage for her.But I have no more information on her other than that. All the Oeschgers/Eskers in St. Mary's Cemetery are related to me.
