oestreich/oestrich australia

I'm doing the family history of John (Johann) Oestreich, He was born in Helee Cachel (spellin may not be right) Germany in about 1834. He left Hamburg Germany in 1855 on the Danial Rolf and arrived in Sydney Australia in the same year.I have been able to trace him in Australia but have nothing on him for in Germany.Was wonderin if anyone can help me out.I do not know who is parents are or whether he had brothers and sisters.
