Hi John, Fothergill Ogborn + Sarah Wills Owen, I think!? The confusion stems from the fact that there are 2 "Fothergill Ogborns" listed in the census years 1850 and 1860: Are they one and the same???
1850 shows one Fothergill Ogborn age 54, b. N.J. ca. 1796 with wife Sarah age 50. He is cited as a farmer in Northern Liberties. Children: Susanna,Martha,Mary,Phebe,Annabelle,Morris,Rachel.
1860 shows one "Fathergill Ogborn" b. ca.1810 NY? (I believe this is incorrect) with wife Sarah age 50, cited as a farmer. in the 21st. Ward, formerly Roxborough township (incorporated into Phila 1854) Children:Susan,Eliz,Mary,Phebe,Anna B., Morris, Rachel.
Seems like too much of a coincidence, but perhaps not? Were there two Fothergill Ogborns that came to Phila. in the mid-19th Cent?
Thanks for any clarification you can provide. Jim Turner.
