I think we have e-mailed before.My great grandfather was William Ogilvie and his second wife was OP Richardson. Her obit reads
"OBIT: Mrs W. Ogilvie Dies At Age Of 84
Mrs. William Ogilvie of 197 McLeod Street, widow of one of the first commissioners of the Yukon Territory, died at her home Saturday.She was 84 years od.
The former O.P. Richardson, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver P. Richardson.Born in Paris, Texas she was educated in Texas and in Boston, Mass.
She was married in Texas in 1903 to William Ogilvie, who served as Yukon commissioner early in this century.
The couple came to Ottawa after their marriage.Her husband died here in 1912.Mrs. Ogilvie was librarian in the Mines branch in the Department of Mines and Resources, a position from which she retired in 1937.
She was a member of Chalmers United Church and a member of the Women's Historical Society of Ottawa. In addition, she was a Charter Member of the Chelsea Club.
Surviving are a brother, Admiral J.O. Richardson, USN (Ret.); one sister, Miss Moss Richardson.
Mrs. Paul Ogilvie of Ottawa, with whom she lived, was a niece.
The body is resting at Hulse and Playfair, Limited, 315 McLeod Street.Rev. Dr. J.W. Woodside will conduct the private service in the chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment will be made in Beechwood Cemetery.
I have an obit of their infant son Richardson Ogilvie.
