SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Shona Oglesby Thomas, 52, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Drive. Officiating will be Rev. Ray Raney. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the funeral home.

Shona was born November 20, 1956 in Shreveport, LA to Milton and Annie Oglesby. She passed away November 15, 2009 in Bossier City, LA. She was an Assistant Store Manager for Brookshires for 36 years. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Bossier, where she was actively involved in starting a branch of the First Baptist Church, The Simple Church. She loved participating in the children's department and was a very active participant in mission trips. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Orie T. Wald; parents; and brother-in-law, Wayne Loos. Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Arlene Loos; brother, Ross Oglesby; nieces, Pamela Loos Shankle, Kerri Loos Sweatman and Amanda Oglesby; nephews, Allan Ross Oglesby and Aaron Paul Oglesby; great nieces and nephews, Brittany and Brandon Shankle, Madeline and Kace Sweatman, Austin and Katie Oglesby, Aliyah and Jude Oglesby, and Wesley and Abigail Miles.

Pallbearers will be Ken Sweatman, David Shankle, Eddie Faith, Aaron Oglesby, Dave Madden and Allan Oglesby. Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel 687-1256
