Mary Jean,most of what I have came form Ogletree researchers on this board, my first contact the first night I got my computer was Daryl, who I fell over on the Spalding County,Georgia ..General Forum, when he mentioned County Line Methodist Church.. I knew then that my Grandfather helped to clean that little cemetery every year and always got excited when it was time to help, I knew my GreatGrandfathers name was Ben..didn't know it stood for Benjamin...from that night on most of the information I have came from Dan,Daryl, you and Mr.Ptomeys book.

I know they the researchers are searching for infomation on John,Sr. and when I found this information, I thought it might just connect something for a researcher..The page I pulled up did say George Thompson son of George Thompson.

I think ,don't know that there were other children fom Williams family, when we find them we probably will be able to put it all togeather.

I'm really not digging deep, Im too old for that, I am searching on all my lines to put enought information togeather to let my kids know where their roots, I am researching Mann, Morris, Harris,Bransford,Baldwin,Hightower,Pinkston, Carroll,Ogltree,Starr,Crook,Pennington,Laney, Lawing,Caldwell,Lee and more..have back to 1600's, on my Baldwins..I am thinking about doing a little on Cromer, who was thought to be my Baldwins wife. and the one that should be the simplest is the hardest, Morris of Fayette County,Ga..going to leave that to my cousins the few I have left in Fayette County,Ga...My Morris family is connected to the Mitchells some how..I also think the Mitchells may be connected to General Francis Marion's family..just a hunch..but did see one article on Francis Marion that said they didn't know who General Marions sisters but some one clost to the General said they were the Grandmothers of the Mitchell and another family I can't remember which, I hve been told don't have the proof, that the Mitchell and Morris families came to Fayette County,Georgia about the sme time. My Greatgrandfathers nameFrancis Marion Morris, and this name is in the Morris family many times. He was called Major Morris,took me two years to find his actual name, it is even on my grandmothers d.C Major Morris...wonder why Major.. he died in early 1900's and is burried at Antioch Baptist Church, his farm lies across the road, and was still in the family when I was there about 10 years ago. At that time it had Chappell farms on it, one of Major Morris granddaughters married a Chappell. his father was J.G. Morris and Sarah...
