Cindy, William OLDEN died in 1719 in Piscataway. He wrote his will on 4 January and it was proved on 9 March. So, sometime in between those dates. He mentions his wife Elizabeth (GILES) in his will, so she died sometime after that.
It would appear that all their children were born in Piscataway (near Bound Brook) NJ because - even though William Olden bought/received land in Stony Brook (now Princeton) during his lifetime - it seems that he never lived there. Moreover, his will was written in Piscataway.
I don't know when Susanna died. But my research shows the following:
Abraham CHAPMAN (and his twin brother Joseph) was born in Wrightstown, Bucks County, PA on 12 Feb 1685.He married Susanna OLDEN ("daughter of William Olden of Bound Brook, NJ")in 1715, probably on or shortly after 3 November.According to "The History of Bucks County, PA, Volume II, p. 380) they had 8 children:
John (b. Aug 1716) Abraham (b. Jun 1718) John (b. Feb 1720) Jane (b. 21 May 1723) Thomas (b. 8 June 1725) Benjamin (b. 10 Nov 1727) Elizabeth (b. 20 May 1730) Joseph (b. 20 Oct 1733)
Another source ("Southern Pennsylvania, 1680 - 1800 birth index")lists these children (some different info):
John (b. 23 Aug 1716) Abraham (b. 4 Jun 1718) William (b. 24 Feb 1719/20) unknown daughter(b. 26 Apr 1722) Jane (b. 2 May 1723) Thomas (b. 8 Jun 1725) Benjamin (b. 10 Nov 1727) Elizabeth (b. 20 May 1730) Joseph (b. 28 Oct 1732)
I hope this is of help.If you want to tell me why you're querying Susanna OLDEN, or what connection in particular you're looking for, I might be able to help you even further. In any event, if you have any other questions, I'm happy to answer what I can.
