Hi Wendy,
Sorry it took so long to respond - I've been out of the country.
The only mention I have of a Lewis Olden in my files are as a result of the 1840 and 1850 census records for Mercer County (NJ) - and the dates of the latter are different than what you've listed: it shows Lewis being born circa 1790 and his daughter Julia being born circa 1818.But then, we all know that the census is wrong as often as it is right!
I can point you in a possible direction, however. My files also show that Ephraim Olden and his wife Mary Cowperthwaite resided in Nottingham - which is where Lewis and the Brittons are in the 1850 census.Unfortunately, I only have one child of Ephraim in my records (which includes an abstract from his will): Dr. Joseph Oldman, who was married to Elizabeth Rodman. There is no mention of a Lewis. But it might be a place to start looking.I have no info on the children of Ephraim's brother Joseph, so that might be another avenue to explore.(Ephraim had another brother, Job, who is my ancestor - but I'm fairly certain that Lewis wasn't his son.)
Sorry I can't be of more help.
Good luck!(And let me know if you find anything!)
