Re: William Landon Oliphant, Tennessee, 1847
/. We have a member of the Clan Association who is also descended from William Landon Oliphant. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will put you in touch with the member of the Clan Association. We have His spouse as Melissa Ann Loop. William Landon Oliphant died 2 March, 1931.
/. The Oliphants of Greene County on the whole were descended from Ephriam Oliphant and so from Duncan Oliphant.
/. At the top of the page there is a box which says "search this forum" put in "Greene" and you will find about 33 results. Teresa Harris is one who is knowledgeable on the Greene County Oliphants as you will see.
/. There is a chap who is researching all Oliphants in America on a blanket sweep basis (much the best way to do research although very lengthy, as people often turn up in the most unlikely places and you will only find them if you are combing everywhere). His name is Greg Ross. He has written a book called "Forgandenny- a Place in History". He will probably know the answer to your query straight away. Google his book and you will find his site. Failing which I can contact him for you.
