Greetings! In september of 1999, I was lucky enough to travel to Scotland. While there I ventured in to the Scottish Hall of Names. Lo and behold we Olliffs are in it! It tells how the Viking traveled down through the Orkney Island into Scotland during the 800's and the Olliff name emerged as a Scottish Clan in the northern territory of Northhampton where we were recorded as a family of great antquity. In the 14th century we branched to Hayley in Norfolk and Suffolk. There was a famous 19th century physician named Sir Joseph Oliffe who was appointed to the British Embassy in Paris. It was a trip back in time. Maybe this info will be helpful. Terry Olliff Corpus Christi, Tx.
