Mrs. Lulua Omans
Buchanan – Mrs. Lulua Belle Omans, 79, of 105 N. Hamilton Dr., died at 6:55 a.m. today at Pawating Hospital after an illness of eight days.
She was born Oct. 3, 1896 in Lowell, Mich., and moved here in 1969 from Grand Rapids.She married Ernest Omans, who survives, on July 4, 1917 in Grand Rapids.
Also surviving are a son Barclay of Minneapolis, Minn.; four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Berry of White Cloud, Mich., Mrs. Jean King of Buchanan, Mrs. Nole [sic] Heintzleman of Brookville, Fla., and Mrs. Betty Shavers of Niles; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Gouzwaare (sic) and Mrs. Maxine Farwell, both of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Carole Rockwell of Hemet, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Faith United Methodist Church with the pastor, Rev. Kenneth Snow, officiating. Burial will be in Findley Cemetery, Grand Rapids.
Friends may call at the Swen Chapel of the Swem-Smith Funeral home after 7p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial may be made to the Bell Tower Fund of Faith United Methodist Church.
