Jim,
I connect to the O'Mohundro's by 3 sisters who married Pruitt brothers and cousin in Allen Co. Ky.I also found a copy of a 1950 O'Mohundro Genealogical History by Malvern Hill O'Mohundro who explained the first was Richard O'Mohundro in the mid 1600's in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He had about 9 or 11 children and only 3 of these survived to adulthood to carry on the family lineage. There was a copy of his Will dated late 1660's(?) which I also copied and can send if you wish via e-mail?Due to the mass of information (1100 plus pages) on this family I only copied 20 pages relating to my Pruitts-O'mohundros as there were 3 sisters, Maranda, Candas and Fibie/Phoebe who married Pruitt boys!
In reading the early history of the lineage, I found reference to 3 basic lines, one of whom dropped the "O" to become Mohundro and there was a limbin Ferris, Texas which is just south of me in Dallas County, Texas.
The 'Southern' branch kept the "O" and moved west to Kentucky/Tennessee and later to Missouri which is where I found them with Pruitts!
We have a big Reunion each September of Pruitt descendants and the majority of attendees descend from one or more of the 3 O'Mohundro sisters who married Pruitts from Kentucky!
I'm going back to the library Saturday and will try to remember to look for information on your Julie b 1901.
Even back then, before computers, information was just given in the bookas name and date without a geographic reference unless deceased!I think the author, Malvern Hill O'Mohundro used the post office to contact family members and other relatives for information since the Internet wasn't even thought of!
