I had almost given up on finding an Ortner. Here is information from clippings and notes in my g.grandmother's journal (Buffalo, Erie County NY 1930s): ORTNER, Caroline C. (neé SIMON) 97 Briggs Ave, Buffalo, NY; d. Mar. 5 1932 m. Christ F. Ortner; children Mrs. George LOESCHER (maybe this is another spelling of Lozier?), Charles F. Ortner, Esther Ortner, Mrs. Carl FREEMAN, Mrs. Lorin T. ULM (of Zanesville, OH)
ORTNER, Irene C., dau. of Mr. and Mrs. Christ F. Ortner of Briggs Ave, Buffalo; sisters Hilda, Esther and Lillian, m. Meyers Freeman at St. john's Evangelical Church, Rev. Mr. Wittlinger; best man: Lorin Ulm, also Rbt. Wardrope, Harold Lawrence, Alfred Reiser. Flower girls: Ruth Huff and Erma Watkins. Residence of the couple, 651 South Park Ave. (this sounds like a Buffalo address, but if you can't find these folks in Buffalo, I'd take a look in Rochester, NY). I don't know if these are cousins or work-related associates, or neighbors. My g.grandmother's family were all printer-lithographers. Her name was Lobstein, she married a Schreiber. She had family in Texas and Canada, as well as Buffalo, NY. Family was from Alsace/France. I'd appreciate knowing if you have an Ortner link to Lobstein or Schreiber. Thank you.
