Lee, I have several volumes of records from the various MM in Pennsylvania, Delaware,Virginia,NC, Ohio, Indiana, etc.The item above is one I haven't seen ( probably among many). I have seen family historys where Matthew and Isabel's children were born in York Co. Pa. I try to take everything into consideration.
True, the above item would indicate that Matthew and Isabel were living in Delaware, but I will tell you that I have seen items mentioning Duck Creek MM mixed in with the other MM, including those in PA.
I will keep your and Candys research in mind but at this time I will not make a committment as to who I believe Matthew's parents are. I sent off for the Vital Records of Kent and Sussex Counties, Delaware 1686-1800 and the only abstract that mentioned Matthew was his marriage to Isabel Dobson.
I tried to reach Dick Osborn re: his complete records from Swarthmore College, but evidently his email is no longer valid. I hope he remains with us. The Dobson family has records in Philadelphia.
